KARACHI: Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King (FMCK) celebrated the Platinum Jubilee to renew their commitment to serve the unloved of the society. The FMCK, a local congregation of sisters came into being in 1937, 10 years before the existence of Pakistan. It was founded by Msgr. Saleciuos Lemmens with Mother Bridget Squeira to educate children of broken families and to care for the physically and mentally challenged. “Unconditional love and Service can Build a Peaceful Society”, said the Archbishop Joseph Coutts, the chief guest at the ceremony. He appreciated the untiring efforts of sisters and encouraged them to continue the good works to serve people of God.
