MULTAN: No one can prevent the creation of South Punjab, said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar on Sunday.
Addressing a public gather in Multan, Sattar said that the MQM was the first party to submit a resolution in the National Assembly in favour of a new province in Punjab. “MQM will do everything possible to make South Punjab a reality,” he said.
Speaking about the problems faced by the region, Sattar said spurious pesticides, low quality seeds and expensive fertilisers have greatly harmed the agriculture sector of the area, while the people are faced with poverty, unemployment, inflation and load-shedding.
“The MQM will solve all the problems if it came to power,” he said.
Sattar also said that now is the time when people have to decide whether they will save the country or will let it be ruled by cruel rulers.
“Certain elements are afraid of the MQM’s popularity in Punjab but MQM will contest elections from Punjab with full force,” Sattar said.

Would you please make Karachi a reality before making South Punjab a reality?
Every one who is working for MQM are from Karachi, including MQM Quaid Mr. Altaf Hussain.
But the most unfortunate thing with Karachi is that it has become a city of thieves, target killers, extortionists, land grabbers and mobile phone snatchers.
The inflation in Karachi is rising due to one main reason and that is the Bhata Mafia when give a Parchee to any shopkeeper, or businessman, he gives the money to the Bhata Mafia and then recover the amount by inflating the prices of daily commodities from the consumers.
You are first suppose to make Karachi a “Karachi in real sense” where the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is buried and let him sleep peacefully until the last day of the world and then think about making South Punjab a reality.

The people of this land never accepted the immigrants who migrated in the name of religion. The immigrants sacrificed in the true sense. And when they flourished in the land by the sea, the whole nation flooded it to chaos.
I am not supporting the MQM politics and would commend the people of Sindh to accept the immigrants with open hearts compared to other parts of the country, but the fact is the immigrants need an identity by the land. It wasn’t just the movement of humans, it was a movement of culture.

I am amazed by the ethnic nature of some of the comments. I am urdu speaking. My grandfather was from Lucknow, grandmother from Delhi. We are now settled in Lahore so please do not say all urdu speakers were directed to Karachi. Are you implying between 6 and 8 million muhajirs all went to Karachi? My kids speak perfect urdu and punjabi. But above all with that green passport we are Pakistani. No concept of muhajir etc. I own this country and this country owns me. My grandparents were muhajir when they arrived, they are Pakistani today. All those who follow MQM including my urdu speaking brethren, please realize what these people are up to. If they cared so much about Urdu speakers would they have let this happen to the Karachi they once ruled completely.

Just for your limited knowledge almost in all cities of Punjab you will see people from dehli, upi, Bangladeshi, Balochistani, afghanistani, Sindhi, Sariki n what not. Above all they are living, doing business, jobs etc etc n nobody kick them day n night. It’s patience of Punjab that with all the atrocities they faced n facing in other provinces even then they are waiting that sooner or later you spoiled little brothers will learn to live in peace. After reading all the comments , It is my opinion that all political parties are playing on the sentiments of people. People do not have a broad vision. Look at united states of America. They have 50 States United States got Independence more than 200 years. Some of these states are bigger than Pakistan.Every state has its own local laws, People of all faith lives here. origin of US population is from all over the world. English is the official language but every state has their own accent and way of life… There is freedom of religion,there are mosque,senegal churches of various type, Hindu and Sikh temples. Some of them do not believe in God or any religion.Every one is responsible for his own deeds.
