LAHORE: Laptops worth Rs4 billion will be distributed by the provincial government among students on merit this year, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Saturday. He was speaking to a delegation of students in Murree. He said laptops will also be given to special children this year. “The provincial government is committed to the promotion of information technology education and has devised a comprehensive plan for that,” he said. The chief minister said the country needed to equip the youth with education and train them in the use of latest technology to achieve economic progress.
