Incoming: Linde Pakistan to invest Rs556m in power plant

The company manufactures and distributes industrial, medical and specialty gases.

KARACHI:


Linde Pakistan has decided to invest Rs556 million to set up a power generation plant to produce four megawatts of electricity at its Port Qasim facility. Top management of Linde Pakistan, formerly known as BOC Pakistan, made this decision in a meeting held on Monday, says a notice sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday.


The investment will be funded with a combination of company’s internal resources and external borrowings.  The company manufactures and distributes industrial, medical and specialty gases.

Top descision maker at Linde Pakistan carrying on business as usual without any vision to strive company ahead in Oil and Natural Gas extrction sectors. Until and Unless a dynamic team is replaced to Forge company ahead in the 21st Century. Linde Pakistan should forge strong relationship with parent company in Germany to utilise its wide resources as well as expertise in Natural Gas sector and energy sector. The Local Shareholders looking for good change as well as replacement for a Dynamic Team with Forward Planning. We want Linde Pakistan to participate in Energy development of Pakistan, thats the New Vision.

556 million rupees. Sounds like a large amount until you convert it, and realize that's less than $6 million. Why is this even in a newspaper.
