KARACHI: Two suspects allegedly involved in robbing over Rs2 million from Dubai Islamic Bank a week ago were arrested on Monday. The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) police claimed to have arrested Mohammad Waqar and Altaf Akbar Ali after a brief encounter in the Liaquatabad area. The police said that the looted money and two pistols were also recovered from the men, while raids to arrest the absconding accomplices are under way. SIU chief SP Khurram Waris said that the police managed to arrest the suspects with the help of the CCTV footage of the bank robbery.
