ET Reporter says: “Earlier, two former activists of a political party were shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.” Why is the ‘political party’ not identified. This is not an acceptable form of news journalism. ET is attempting to run the newspaper on world standards but is lacking in some areas and this is a good example of it. Public remains confused about Karachi’s violence and on many other issues because of this type of reporting. In the international press the only thing which is witheld are the names of the victims pending notification to the next of kin. Once the next of kin are notified the names of the victims are printed too.Recommend
