Sectarian attack: 3 killed, 6 injured in Parachinar

Published: May 28, 2012

Political administration official says all passengers belonged to Shia community.

KOHAT: At least three people were killed and six were injured when unidentified assailants ambushed a passenger vehicle near Charkhel village in lower Kurram Agency on Monday, a political administration official said.

Confirming that it was a sectarian attack, the official said that the vehicle was en route to Peshawar from Parachinar – the headquarters of Kurram Agency – when unknown men opened fire on it from a mountain.

He added that all the passengers belonged to the Shia community. “The locals are afraid of sectarian violence again.”

The injured and the deceased were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Thall.

He added that that this was the sixth attack on a passenger vehicle in the area after the route was reopened by Commissioner Kohat division Sahibzada Muhammad Anees about six months ago.

Thats why I say, renounce religion and become secular, thoroughly secular like France or Turkey. Read “Dechristianization of France” on wikipedia. Once upon a time, France was called the little sister of Catholic church because it was thoroughly catholic until it decided to become secular, and the rest is history.

Why shia community is always targeted and the shia is not targeting other sects in retaliation. Why shia is not producing sucide bombers and it will be easy for them to target the majority?. Simply they are true human beings, keep the religion apart.

@ Abdullah and neither do u know whats happening in Syria. Assads are not Shia and and neither is their religion recognized as a further sect of shia. Irn and syria are allies of common interest within the region, just as Saudia Arabia is with Bahrain.

@Abdullah: What Parachinar had to do with Syria, from the look of things Talibans must be killing people over there as well.

@Abdullah, in Syria people are fighting with King, but in Pakistan shias never gone wild with a wish to rule over Pakistan neither they have a militant wing or sucide bombers.I don’t think that people should try to relate the case of Pakistan with any other country.

Chaar Kheil is the village adjacent to Manduri village and it is the ancestral village of Aurakzai(Watizai),the MNA from Central Kurram. Why the political agent does not exercise his power under the “COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES”and put the MNA in Adiala jail? but every one knows that the blood of SHIAS is much thinner than any liquid on earth. They will cry for a few days and then there will be another attack. It will go on till we dont get rid of this corrupt Govt.
