Indo-Pak Relations: Liberal visa policy urged

Bilateral trade would strengthen the steps taken to ensure lasting peace between the two, says SAFMA secretary general

ISLAMABAD: South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) has urged the government to liberalise the visa policy for India, to enhance people-to-people contacts and pave the way for better bilateral relations. Talking to Radio Pakistan, the SAFMA secretary general Imtiaz Alam endorsed the views of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding the benefits of bilateral trade between Pakistan and India. Alam stated that bilateral trade between the neighbours would not only help improve relations between the two, but also strengthen the steps taken to ensure lasting peace between the two.
