Football: Punjab prevail in U22 event
Punjab’s Naeem Raza struck the equaliser three minutes later before he completed his brace in the 37th minute.
KARACHI:
Punjab defeated Wohaib FC 3-1 in the National Under-22 Football Championship in Bahawalpur. Mohammad Hamid scored the opener in the ninth minute but that was Wohaib FC’s only success. Punjab’s Naeem Raza struck the equaliser three minutes later before he completed his brace in the 37th minute. Mohammad Atif then hit his first goal in the 81st minute to seal the result in his side’s favour. Meanwhile, PMC Athletico defeated Balochistan 3-0, while Muslim FC prevailed over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 2-1.
