DERA GHAZI KHAN: A girl, born with three arms in the Taunsa Sharif sub-division of Dera Ghazi Khan, was shifted to Nishter Hospital in Multan on Wednesday. The girl had been born on Monday.

The baby girl has the third arm joined to her back, near the spinal cord.

The father, Waqar Ahmed, had brought his daughter to Nishter Hospital, where she was admitted to ward 19 immediately and treatment was underway.

Dr Ghulam Shabbir at the hospital said that the disorder that the baby girl had is called Polymelia, in which a person is born with extra limbs.

He further revealed that experts have been consulted regarding the issue and that once initial reports are obtained, it can be ascertained as to how difficult the operation can be.

    There is no difference in the mentality of people, either in media or mela walas where they put the baby with extra limbs on display.Recommend

    @Junaid:
    You may be correct, but perhaps it may be due to the use of depleted uranium weapons by the Americans. It is my understanding that when exploded, nuclear radio active materials are reduced to nano particles, absorbed easily into the human body, and this may damage DNA, which could cause deformities in babies.
