ISLAMABAD: Reports are pouring in from various districts of Sindh where wheat farmers are facing severe problems in obtaining the wheat bardana. Corrupt provincial food department officials with the connivance of greedy local shopkeepers, are causing a huge fiscal loss to the national kitty. Regrettably, the past successive regimes did nothing for the welfare of farmers in Sindh and there is an urgent need to end their miseries.
The present rulers are requested to take serious notice of the criminal behaviour of some of the officials in the food and revenue departments who are not carrying out their duties honestly and minting money through a deal with local businessmen, who are hoarding wheat bardana. It is important to remove bottlenecks in obtaining bardana at the earliest.
