KARACHI: One person was killed and three were injured when assailants opened fire on a hotel situated in the N block of North Nazimabad on Wednesday.
At least eight people were killed and dozens sustained injuries in different firing incidents late Tuesday late.
Two bodies were found with their hands tied near Taimuria Dental College in North Nazimabad. Police said that the deceased were abducted and were killed after they were tortured.
Robbers in the Site area killed a private company’s guard after assaulting him with sticks.
A body was retrieved from the Sher Shah area, while two people were gunned down near Asghar Shah Stadium in North Nazimabad.
Protestors took to the streets in the Pahar Ganj area of Karachi on Wednesday, protesting against the Tuesday firing incident which killed two men and a minor.
Unidentified assailants had opened fire at people sitting at a tea shop in the Pahar Ganj area of North Nazimabad leaving five people critically injured. The injured had been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where three of them, including Saleh Dost, his son Matiullah and another man Abbas succumbed to their injuries.
Protestors pelted stones on the cars and did not let any car move further in the area. The protestors burnt tyres and blocked the road for traffic.
While police and Rangers were present on the site, no action took place.
Businesses in the vicinity remained closed, while police and Rangers diverted traffic, preventing them from entering the area.
The protestors complained that killings were happening every other day while the law enforcement agencies remained mum.
The Awami National Party (ANP) had claimed that the deceased were party supporters.
Taking a note of the incidents, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan ordered DIG West to present a report of the incident and to arrest those behind the attack.

There is a widespread moral degradation and brutalization of society in Pakistan and Pakistan state has stopped behaving and acting like a civilized nation.
Pakistanis live in a degenerated disgraceful society that has lost all credibility to itself and all respect in international community.

Must be the MQM…who else is capable of so much death and destruction? Drag them all to the gallows! Ban this terrorist party, and have the UK extradite Altaf Hussain, he’s instigating all these terrorist attacks in Pakistan, but the UK continues to harbour him. Double standards.Recommend
What i figure out is that no one is safe in this country now peoples will be scared to hang out on tea shops as well , the government is responsible for this blood shed and unrest

No solution is left for this sort of incidents in the country except to allow every one to keep weapons for self defence. No Bank can be robbed if the staff and visitors are themselves loaded with peronal hand guns and same would be for snatching and target killing. Normally the killer in target killing leaves the scene very easily wihout any hastiness since he believes no one in the area would be able to stop him. This is a realistic approach while on the contrary the Government bans on carrying licensed weapons and issuance of new licenses. had all the crimes committed in the last few years with licensed weapons? We need a debate on this. had any body though why the number of private security agencies are increasing in the cities and who are those people running those agencies. THERE IS A BIG QUESTION MARK ON THIS WHICH NEED TO BE ANSWERED.

@Muslim Pakistani
You need some mental treatment blaming MQM without knowing karachi and its area, Pahar Ganj is a no go area for not only MQM but for Urdu Speaks, In 8 people a watchman killed by robbers with stick, woman killed during robbery.
George Galloway never visited Karachi nor written thesis on Karachi what he knew about karachi? Things fed to him by people who used him may be by giving him money?
Please consult with some snake charmer so that he can take out anti MQM venom from you.
Strangely you called yourself Muslim and put blames without proofs which a Sin?

Please donot take it like that. Pakistan is not guilty of anything, Pakistanis are. Please remember Barnard Shaw, who said “Islam is the best religion of the world while Muslims are the worst Nation”
