Squash: Kashif, Bukhari win qualifiers

KARACHI: Kashif Khan stunned Tayyab Aslam in the first qualifying round of the 10th Chief Of The Army Staff (COAS) International tournament in Islamabad. Kashif won 3-2 with set scores of 8-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6. Khawja Adil Maqbool had an easy 3-0 win against Mujahid Hussain while Naseem Khan thrashed UAE’s Amir Malik Khan, the only foreign player in the event, 3-0. Meanwhile, Ali Bukhari defeated Naveed Khan 3-1, Hamza Bukhari registered a 3-1 win over Sadamul Haq and Muhammad Shoaib Hassan thrashed Muhammad Bilal 3-1.
