Enough with the blackmailing

Letter April 15, 2012
Any decision taken by parliament is supreme and the mullahs have no business calling them right and wrong.

OTTAWA: This is with reference to a report in your newspaper of April 13 titled “DPC unhappy over Parliament’s unanimous decision to reopen Nato supply line”. We have seen enough of this blackmailing by elements who are not even a part of parliament and hence do not represent the people.

Members of Parliament are elected by the people to represent them and their interests. Therefore, any decision taken by parliament is supreme and the mullahs have no business calling them right and wrong. If the latter want to have a say, they should contest elections and then come up with their own suggestions. Until then they should keep their opinions to themselves.
