Police foil terrorist plot after recovering large cache of weapons, explosives

KARACHI: Karachi Police on Thursday foiled a major terrorist plot after it confiscated heavy quantities of weapons and explosives recovered from an empty plot in Moachgoth area of Karachi, Express News reported.

SSP West Pir Farid Khan Sarhindi said that terrorists had stowed weapons on an empty plot in Moachgoth for various terrorist activities in Karachi. This recovery foils their attempts to propogate their plans in the city.

Among the cache recovered they over 100 grenades, 15 small and large rocket launchers, and one anti aircraft gun.

Among the grenades one was of the American variety. While many of the grenades could be fired from a launcher.

Hand grenades have been used in a number of target attacks in the city in recent days.

    Police should investigate the case as who brought and dumped the large cache at the empty plot?

    Thanks God that the weapons were seized by the Police before these were used some where in Karachi.
