LAHORE: Former Pakistan Peoples Party senator Enver Baig on Wednesday announced his decision to join Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).

The former senator had resigned after the Islamabad chapter of the PPP had suspended his basic membership on allegations of violating party discipline.

Baig, a veteran PPP leader, had met PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif before his suspension.

Announcing Baig’s induction at a press conference in Lahore, Sharif said that he had “old agreements” with Baig. He also said that he consulted Baig many times about important matters.

He had also said that he did not intend to challenge the move because he had more “substantive issues” on his mind.

Baig is considered to be close to the Makhdoom Amin Fahim group in the ruling PPP, which is believed to have been sidelined within the party.

He may be not given the senator post and as a result he joined PML-N hoping that he may be given some benefits. The important point to note is that he was from the group of Makhdoum Amin Faheem…..so definitely he is here in PML-N to gain something

He doesn’t know ABC of diplomacy nor he has done any thing of significance for the country. You can better say that he is good at duplicity. And he is joining hands with the “biggest visionary of Pakistan”. Lol
