Government must stop giving excuses for the poor performance, incompetence displayed by government-run institutions.
KARACHI: Once again the PIA is in the news, albeit for the wrong reasons. According to a report, around 800 meal trolleys of the national airline have gone missing from different airports of the country. The price of each of these trolley ranges between $200-400. This means that the national airline has suffered a loss of over Rs20 million.
The government must stop giving excuses for the poor performance and incompetence displayed by government-run institutions. The public now believes that this government has no will and capability to bring about positive changes in these institutions. I only hope that after the next general elections the new government that comes into power will run these institutions honestly and will make them profitable.
