Well done, Pakistan

Even with the trophy in hand, the national team should learn lessons from its performance.

KARACHI: Pakistan has done well to lift the Asia Cup after defeating Bangladesh in a nail-biting final. However, Bangladesh’s excellent performance should also be praised because until a few years ago, they were considered to be walkovers.

Even with the trophy in hand, the national team should learn lessons from its performance. One of these is that apart from Umar Gul and Aizaz Cheema no other fast-bowler is doing well on a consistent basis. Also, now would be a good time to appoint Mohammad Hafeez as vice-captain.
