Freedom of speech

Letter March 18, 2012
There is no reason to criticise any institution which would like to invite Kahn to give a speech on a topic.

PARIS, FRANCE: This is with reference to Dr Pervez Tahir’s article of March 16 titled “Dominique Strauss-Kahn at Cambridge”. Whatever opinion one may have of Strauss-Kahn, and I am no big fan of him when it comes to his often reported sexual deviations, there is no reason to criticise any educational institution which would like to invite him to give a speech on a topic on which he is highly competent. I do not quite understand the message that Dr Tahir wants to convey to the readers in this regard, especially since he incorrectly states that “nothing is known on what he said on the topic”.
