KARACHI: The elders from different communities of Attock’s Jand tehsil joined the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), saying they were not satisfied with the performance of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and other parties. Syed Noor Badshah, Malik Mazhar, Chaudhry Essa Khan Khattak and Niaz Ali Malik said that they joined MQM because of Altaf Hussain’s leadership, party’s performance and its system. “We did not expect that a minister will receive us in Karachi and honour us. In Punjab, our MPAs, MNAs and ministers have no time to meet the common man,” said Mazhar. Sindh Industries and Commerce Minister Rauf Siddiqui said that MQM will change the fate of Pakistan within 2.5 years.
