We need a new game with new rules to bring out our best.
LAHORE: This is with reference to Saroop Ijaz’s article titled “The lies and triangulations of Imran Khan” (March 11). The short way to political power is through promises that cannot be kept. The hard way is to design a system that will allow each the freedom to work and live as he wishes — without encroaching on the rights of others. In doing what he is, Imran Khan is demonstrating that he has learned the games politicians play and is ready to play their games with them. We need a new game with new rules to bring out our best. How about a game in which the prize is prosperity and the rules require hard work to progress.
