Hypocrites, to boot

Letter February 17, 2012
Is the law different for the heads of our intelligence agencies? Will someone please answer this question?

LAHORE: This is with reference to Kamran Shafi’s excellent article of February 17, titled “Hypocrites, to boot”. The point is quite simple and should not be lost on the honourable judges of the Supreme Court and it is this: if the elected prime minister of the country, who was chosen unanimously by the National Assembly for the job, can appear twice before a court of law on contempt charges, why cannot the heads of our intelligence agencies be called to appear in court and explain all the mysterious abductions, disappearances and deaths?

Is the law different for the heads of our intelligence agencies? Will someone please answer this question?
