Iqbal will present a paper on digital forensic science, the field that covers the recovery and investigation of data from digital devices and is often used to aid computer crime investigations.
This is not the first time Iqbal has been in the spotlight, he was the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and the youngest Certified Internet Web Professional (CIWA) at the age of nine.
He then went on to become the youngest Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), youngest Microsoft Student Partner (MSP) and youngest Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in .NET 3.5 at the age of 10, 11 and 12 respectively.
Iqbal's current research relates to Apple devices (iPad, iPhone and iPod). His method does not require Jailbreaking and can image an Apple device in less than 30 minutes.
This new method can help law enforcement agencies in retrieving digital forensic evidence present on an Apple device including contacts, texts, all multimedia files, GPS info and cellphone tower logs (which can help triangulate the location of a device at a certain point in time).
Iqbal is currently in Dubai, where he is training and working with Microsoft.

@Sajid Ali: Beta, have balanced diet and reasonable physical exercise daily. Take one tea spoon Khameera Gao Zaban (Ambri) with milk before going to bed. Most important- don't be Jealous.
Babar Iqbal, May Allah bless you with more success, happiness and peace.

They should start calling it Guinness Book of Pakistan Records ….. Mashallah great achievement!!!
wao ! You go boy .
Iqbal of New Era. We proud of you dear. Now where are those all who were making many claims on the death of Arfa Kareem?? Here is the same WIZ KID (may be more than her).
Masha Allah
@Abdullah Hussain: Seems like you are only into the quantity not the quality of the papers! I'm not sure what scientific value "jail breaking" an iPhone will have.
@ sajid ali true, because his mental maturity and intelligence is shown on his face.
The international standard to know the ability of a scientist is number of research paper ,he/she published. The database named "PUBMED" is the best way to put the name of any scientist and know his/her papers. The number of papers show the value of a scientist.
They should start calling it Guinness Book of Pakistan Records ..... Mashallah great achievement!!!
and , as is mostly the case, he is not from ba ba blacksheep school system.
he is 14 years old lol?? I am 21 and he looks older than me
Mashallah, Subhanallah
May Allah SWT give you more success
He represents the true face of Pakistani intellect. Imagine Pakistan giving up its hate politics and depending on the intellectuals for its development, it will be another Japan in industrial production. This is where your prosperity lies.Make Pakistan a peace lovong peaceful country for the good of its people, they deserve it.
Did he ever get time to do his home work! or play cricket / soccer or "pakram pakrai" with kids his age?
How all these kids can get such highly technical certifications at 9,10,11. I got my MCP and ISA certification at 20 while studying BE in Computer engineering from NED & was proud to had it that time but now it looks just an average achievement lol
@akbar:
If you search the name of the conference, it is scheduled in March and proceedings will be published on IEEE Xplore afterwards as usual. So you can archive the name of author and conference for your ease of search. Normally, proceedings are updated on associated research databases within a day or two after the conference.

Awesome. Keep it up and may we get more geniuses like him.
wow that is really awesome, Masha Allah =)!
Excellent....!!!
Shaheen Bacha. Mashallah
I am a CS researcher too, it would be more credible to name the title of his paper so others can read it and see IF this kid is really smart, or just a kid who learnt programming early.
MashAllah....these achievements should be highlighted and projected by our media....they are the role models for other youngsters.......we don't need precious air time on tv channels wasted over needless, meaningless, fruitless political discussions......some time be devoted to such stories to inspire others
MashaAlllah............
Shabaash shabaash!
Mashallah..
Good Work Iqbal. We need more like you from DI Khan.
