ISLAMABAD:

Wateen Telecom, a converged communications service provider, has said that it has been ranked number one wireless broadband service provider in the country.

In a survey for quality of service conducted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Wateen was ranked first in overall standings for all wireless broadband operators in the country, says a press release. In order to safeguard consumer interests and growth of quality broadband services, the PTA carried out the second nationwide Broadband Quality of Service survey of all wireless and wireline service providers in the third and fourth quarter of 2011.

Wateen says the Abu Dhabi Group has continued to show confidence in the company and has provided cash support of over $57 million over the last one year.

Astonished… Shocked… these were the two states that I have experienced today when I have read above content. Allow me to put some light on the dark side of this so called achievement.

Wireless technology gives a perception of comfort and easiness but honestly Wateen acts totally opposite of it. By focusing only corporate customer on priority and providing good coverage only corporate offices zones doesn’t proves that you have same good credibility of your product among those customers who are using your services in their home or any other residential area.

I have personally experienced the pathetic and such an outstanding customer support by your engineer and as well your customer care centers. Wateen sold their product to me and after few months when I was facing coverage issue Wateen’s engineer simple said to return the device without any other solution because Wateen had no outdoor device at that time or might be out of stock.

Have Wateen ever think or noticed that we are the customer who are paying your wages and because of us Wateen CEO writes few comments from his laptop given to him by our money that we are paying in form you service charges.

Now it’s been two years and I haven’t received any satisfactory response from Wateen on my refund case.
