KHANPUR: The registration process for the transgender community in Liaquatpur has already begun on the directives of the Bahawalpur commissioner on Friday. The process is being led by She-male Rights Association Punjab with the cooperation of a local social welfare department. Organisation member Sana Mohammad has already registered 31 transgender people in Liaquatpur. Sana urged all transgenders to come forward and get registered so they could finally work from within the system. “In order for us to get our rights we need to be a part of the system,” she told reporters.
