As ordinary people have experienced long hours of loadshedding, they have also faced increase in electricity tariff.
ISLAMABAD: I was shocked to see my electricity bill of last month. I consumed the same number of units which I did in December 2010, yet the amount that I had to pay has almost doubled. In effect, this means that even as ordinary people have experienced long hours of loadshedding every day, they have also faced a 100 per cent increase in the electricity tariff.
Also, why are consumers made to pay more simply because the power generation and distribution companies cannot cut losses at their end? This is unfair and such a policy fuels public resentment against the government.
