BHC wants report on missing persons’ killing

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court took notice of the killing of two people whose bodies were found in Quetta on Monday. The two men, Ashfaq Mullazai and Farooq Mengal, had been missing for some time. The court directed the SHO concerned to submit a report about the incident.

A division bench, comprising Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Noor Miskanzai, passed the orders on a petition on the killing of Mullazai whose body was found along with Mengal’s from Qambrani Road.

The court said that the report should include copies of the FIR, medical reports, progress made in investigation. The notice was also issued to the deputy advocate-general and advocate-general. The next date for the hearing is Aug 3.

The petition on Mullazai’s disappearance had been filed by his father. He had stated that his son, who was a student of the Balochistan University, had been missing since he was detained by unidentified persons on May 28.

The court mentioned that the news of the deaths was reported in daily Mashriq and Jang on July 27.

SHO of the Shalkot police station, within whose jurisdiction the bodies were found, was directed to submit a complete report.
