Sexual Assault: FIR registered against principal

LAHORE: Kot Lakhpat police on Tuesday registered an FIR against a school principal for raping a 13-year-old. The girl is a class five student at a private school on Chandarae Road. Her father told The Express Tribune that the school principal raped his daughter after calling her to school under the pretext of helping her prepare for exams on Sunday. He said that he had filed an application with the police late on Monday over which they lodged an FIR under Section 376 PPC but informed him that the school principal had fled after the incident and men of his family had left the area on Monday, fearing police raids. The teenage girl’s father said that on Sunday one of his daughter’s class fellows had come to their house and asked him if his daughter could go to school with her. “I refused. What was the point of going to school on a Sunday,” the father said. When he left for a cricket match, the class fellow came back and convinced his wife to send their daughter to school so she could study for the exams, he said. The girl’s father alleged that the school principal sent away the two other girls who had been called to school on Sunday as well and then raped his teenage daughter. “He told her not to say anything to anyone,” he said. Investigation incharge Akram Bajwa told The Express Tribune that medical examination proves a rape attempt.
