Security forces detained five policemen on Monday for their alleged involvement in the deaths of four intelligence operatives in Pir Chunnbal near Jhelum.
One woman was among those arrested, which brings the total number of suspects arrested in the operation up to 20.
On November 12, militants kidnapped and killed four security officials in Pir Chunnbal. Initially, law enforcers were unable to capture the men responsible for the killing of four intelligence operatives and their local informant.
The operation was launched a few days after the attack in the Pir Chunbbal area of the Pind Dadan tehsil, about 25 kilometres from Jhelum district headquarters.
Security check posts are still in place and raids are being conducted at various places in search of suspected terrorists.
Law enforcement agencies are interrogating the arrested suspects.
