At least 7 militants killed in Mardan

At least seven terrorists were killed, as security forces battled a militant attack on the Punjab Regiment Centre in Mardan.

KARACHI: At least four attackers and three suicide bombers have been killed when security forces battled a militant attack on the Punjab Regiment Centre in Mardan.

According to sources security forces were trying to repel a militant attack.

Three of the militants were suicide bombers who blew themselves up during the clash. While the remaining five were killed in a retaliatory fire. Military sources claim four security personnel were also injured in this incident.

The area has been sealed, as a joint search operation is underway.
