Key militant commander killed in Lower Dir operation

Security forces killed key militant commander Naseer Kakkar during a search operation in Ondak area of Lower Dir.

LOWER DIR: Security forces killed key militant commander Naseer Kakkar during a search operation in Ondak area of Lower Dir on Monday.

Naseer Kakkar is believed to be the military commander responsible for carrying out an attack on US citizens in Lower Dir. He is also believed to be the mastermind behind last month’s suicide attack in the area.

Search for his accomplices, as well as other militants, is underway.
