Argument turns violent: Students injured at PTI rally clash

Police arrested five students from the spot and recovered a pistol from their possession.

FAISALABAD: Five students sustained injuries in a clash at a public meeting of Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday.

Two groups of students exchanged barbs near the gathering at Khuranwala Chowk. A scuffle ensued in which one of the groups used a dagger, injuring a student. The injured were shifted to hospital where his condition is said to be critical.

Police arrested five students from the spot and recovered a pistol from their possession. SHO Mian Abid said that they have arrested one of the accused who used weapons and registered a case under section 324 PPC.
