Community: Charity gala for underprivileged held

The gala included quizzes on traffic rules and regulations, a question and answer session and various stalls and games

A charity gala in Islamabad on Wednesday commemorated the collaboration between the Beaconhouse School System (BSS), Master Ayub’s Street School and Masshal Charity School, said a press release issued by the BSS.


The event in Islamabad started with a series of speeches highlighting the work and involvement of the BSS students in the education of underprivileged children. Wasil, an A-level student, spoke about the efforts of ensuring books, stationary, facilities and guidance were given to those in need of them.

A cheque of Rs75,225, comprising donations collected during the school’s Eid Fair, were presented to Zaiba Hussain, the headmistress of Masshal Charity School. The NHA handed a cheque of Rs30,000 to Master Ayub. The gala included quizzes on traffic rules and regulations, a question and answer session and various stalls and games.
