KPT whip Police 3-1 in football league

KESC score close win over Baloch FC.

KARACHI: KPT recorded a 3-1 win over Police in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match while at Karachi’s Peoples Stadium, KESC bagged full points after edging out Baloch FC 1-0.

KPT, enjoying home advantage, staged a superb comeback after conceding a goal in the 14th minute as Police started aggressively. The visitors scored through Asadullah who beat the goal-keeper through a powerful kick.

However, KPT staged a comeback and levelled through Mohammad Waseem who found the target through a in the 31st minute. Shahid Kaleem made it 2-1 for the home side by scoring just before the interval as Mohammad Amir sealed the win with a strike in the 62nd minute.

Meanwhile, KESC overcame Baloch FC  thanks to Mohammad Rasool who showed sharp reflexes to score the decisive goal. As both teams struggled to get on the score sheet, Rasool made no mistake on a rebound after Mohammad Essa’s attempt from 18 yards was blocked in the 66th minute.

In the other match of the day, PMC beat Navy 1-0.
