Diya FC and Young Rising Star advanced to the final of the National Women Football Championship after recording contrasting victories in their respective semi-finals in Islamabad yesterday.
Diya FC had to struggle against Wapda before securing a 3-1 victory on penalty kicks after the regulation and extra time failed to yield a goal. On the other hand, Young Rising Star FC defeated Balochistan United FC comfortably 2-0, with Nabeela Hashmi and Asmara Kayani being the goal-scorers. The final will be played tomorrow while the losing semi-finalists, targeting a bronze medal, will meet today in a classification match.
