One can only wonder what kind of system we have in this country which allows someone like Malik Ishaq to walk free.
LAHORE: This is with reference to your editorial of September 24 titled “Man of violence”. One can only wonder what kind of legal and justice system we have in this country which allows someone like Malik Ishaq to walk free. Not only that, the Punjab government even paid a monthly stipend to the man’s family!
So, if one accidently kills a goat one can expect to go to jail and rot but if you kill hundreds of innocent citizens you will be set free, and also receive financial benefits from the state.
