PESHAWAR: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Peshawar imposed Section 144 in Peshawar on Friday after reports warning of a possible terrorist attack.
The government has received intelligence reports of a possible terrorist attack and the city has been put on high alert. There has always been a higher incidence of terrorist attacks on Fridays.
The Peshawar District Administration has directed people to get registered at police station before renting a house. Administration has ordered action against the people who defy these directions.
People living with their relatives but who are not from the area have also been directed for registration at police station. The DCO said that imposition of Section 144 is a part of action against militants.
