Recent spate of violence kills 5 in Karachi

Five people were killed and seven others injured during the recent spate of violence in different areas of Karachi on Friday.

KARACHI:

Five people were killed and seven others injured during the recent spate of violence in different areas of Karachi on Friday.


SP New Karachi Qamar-uz-Zaman said that a tussle that took place between rival groups five days ago triggered the clash between the two groups.


The area from New Karachi industrial sector G11 to Godhra was transformed into a battle field. One person was killed and three injured during the clash.


Meanwhile one person was killed and two were injured during a clash in Ancholi area.


Another person was gunned down in Frontier Colony by unidentified gunmen.


Two dead bodies have also been recovered from Qaidabad area.

Anwar Ahmad | 13 years ago | Reply Looks like Karachi is once again heading for sectarian violence and it also looks like some banned terrorist outfits are behind this. Why Police/Rangers is not arresting still active members of banned organizations is any body's guess.
