FAISALABAD: The medical treatment of hundreds of patients has come to a halt, after nearly fifty per cent of the equipment at two government hospitals was found to be out of order. According to medical officials, tests and treatment of dozens of patients at the Allied and Civil Hospitals have been stalled due to faulty machinery. Doctors are facing severe difficulty in diagnosing patients without proper equipment. Allied Hospital’s Emergency Ward X-ray and ECG machines are out of order and the children’s ward artificial respiration machine is also in need of repair. Officials said that the machinery was old and needed replacing.
