CCTV footage reveals bomber blew up as guard stopped him for routine security check.

ISLAMABAD: CCTV footage from cameras installed at the Islamabad branch of Silk Bank which was made the target of a suicide bombing on Monday afternoon.

Express 24/7 correspondent Sohail Chaudhry said that the camera caught the picture of the suicide bomber as he was stopped by the guard at the door of Silk bank in I-8 Markaz.

The suicide bomber is seen with a black bag over his left shoulder and was wearing white clothes.

The security guard stopped the bomber and as he proceeded to move a metal detection scanner over him, the bomber detonated.

Chaudhry said that investigations are underway to find out about the white corolla seen pulling out of the parking lot immediately after the blast.

The guard died after suffering critical injuries and five other people were injured.
