ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) would rally on June 15 to protest against the delay in formation of a judicial inquiry commission to probe into the killings of 74 journalists including Salim Shahzad. Addressing a joint press conference here at National Press Club, PFUJ President Pervez Shaukat, National Press Club President Afzal Butt and Rawalpindi Union of Journalists (RUIJ) President Tahir Rathore said that the journalist community does not blame any individual or institution for the journalists’ deaths. “Our demand is an impartial inquiry to expose the killers of these journalists.” They also demanded that the family members of the victims be given compensation.

Ali Wazir | 12 years ago | Reply Haha cant believe the journalist fell for it. PPP gov played this trick before announce a commission without telling the ppl on it and without taking SC on board. Sabotage it before it even starts. (And it was sooo obvious when GEO Super came back online the same day, and GEo which was leading the charge completely changed there coverage, you do know the Public isnt that Stupid) And what was more ridiculous was all PPP, ANP ministers being part of Dharna....Your parties are in power,it does not make sense. What is stopping you from releasing Wali Khan babar , Hayatullah commission reports lying in the Interior ministry???? Ridiculous.
