A one-year-old girl died at the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar after being denied treatment by the doctors on strike.

Hundreds of patients have been suffering due to the doctors’ protests which have continued over the past two weeks. The doctors demand an increase in salaries.

Doctors have suspended their duties at all public sector hospitals in Peshawar and the rest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Senior doctors at these hospitals said dozens of patients have died in the past few days after being denied treatment by the protesting doctors.
