Tortured bodies of two children found in Faisalabad pond

FAISALABAD: Two tortured bodies of minor children were recovered by rescue 1122 workers from a pond in Faisalabad on Sunday.

Seven-year-old Rehan, and three-year-old Ayyan left home on Saturday to play outside their house, however they did not make it back home Sadeeq Akbar Town.

The family and neighbours initiated the search for the missing minors but failed to find him.

On Sunday morning, the body of one of the children found floating up to the surface of the pond. Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and took the body out of the pond.

Subsequently, they found the second body from the same pond while Mansoorabad police also reached the scene and transported the bodies for autopsy.

According to the police, there were signs of torture on the bodies.

They said further action will be taken after the first information report (FIR) is filed by the parents of the minors.
