ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan lashed out at the political leadership following the Abbottabad fiasco which marked the death of al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.

Khan categorically demanded the resignations of the president and the prime minister after “they failed to own up to their mistakes” and caused a national and international catastrophe.

Addressing a press conference here at the PTI secretariat, Khan said “the so-called democratic government needs to decide who is running the show. Is it the political leadership or the army?”

Mirza | 12 years ago | Reply The army touts cannot hide the facts anymore. It is coming out that Mush had a deal with Bush which was further extended by Kayani, Mush's ISI chief. Since the army/ISI made secret deals and are incompetent, the new civilian govt should resign! What a logic to protect the real culprits, unpatriotic, incompetent and criminals. This is the only way people like C. Nisar, Imran Khan, Mullah Fazal, Shah Qureshi, etc., can come into power by the back door. Now that Imran Khan has apologized with MQM they can work together as MQM is always a part of the govt. I. Khan supported Mush to start with, then turned against him, just like MQM. He can change his mind and loyalties in a heartbeat. Gillani and Zardari have not designed and chose the Safe House in military garrison, why should Khan not demand the generals to resign?
