DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police have foiled a suicide bombing attempt in Dera Ismail Khan after an explosive-laden vehicle blew up before it could reach its target.
Taking the cue from several intelligence reports, police fired at a suspicious vehicle after it refused to stop at Zhob checkpoint.
Two suicide bombers were immediately killed and the vehicle was destroyed in the blast.
Police have cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation in Daraban and Zafarabad area.
The attempt comes three days after Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was killed during a US ground operation in Abbottabad.
