SIALKOT: Local police registered an abduction case against one Malik Riaz, three women and their accomplices for allegedly abducting a hostess and her sister for a second time.
The hostess was abducted and raped on February 7, 2010 by two men named Sarfaraz and Irshad when she was coming home after her shift. The chief minister visited the girl and gave her Rs1 million in aid and also ordered for the arrest of the accused involved in the case. Police arrested the accused after the girl identified them. According to police officials, on May 19, the victim’s mother submitted an application to Hajipura police that on their way to court Riaz, Sarfaraz,their brother, three women and an unidentified man had abducted them from Shahab Road and held them in a flat in Gulberg, Lahore for several days.
The family accused the group of coercing their signatures on a plain piece of paper and also filming a video. The victim’s mother said that the group forced them for reconciliation and took them to a local court from where they escaped taking advantage of the large crowd and approached the Sialkot police. On the other hand the victim’s sister has filed a writ in high court stating that the police had kept her sister and mother in illegal custody and the court summoned police in this regard today. The hearing has been adjourned until tomorrow as the judge was on leave.
