MURIDKE: A man turned his mother out of the house after he got promoted at work on Saturday.

Residents in Muridke said that Razia Bibi had recently filed an application with police officials stating that her son had seized her property by force.

Razia approached the Gujranwala capital police officer (CPO) and said that her son Imran Ghumman had joined the police force three years ago and was promoted to superintendent police (SP) last week.

“The day he was promoted he forced me to sign over two houses worth Rs400,000 and then turned me out of my own house,” she said.

The CPO ordered Ghumman to appear before him but he did not do so.

Police officials have issued Ghumman a warning of seven days before a case is registered against him.
