Those who are claiming that the study being based on a sample of just 2666 (out of a total population of 170 million), is flawed need to take a basic lesson in sampling and research. Actually as long as the sample is representative, it doesn’t matter what the population is, a sample size of 2000 (regardless of the population) gives a level of accuracy of +/- 2.1%. Sample sizes this small are commonly used to project winners of political elections throughout the world, with very accurate results.

I am not pathan but it is a fact that Pathans are the most beautiful and strong people. I am living in a multicultural society and is in interaction with the people from all over the world but i havn’t seen the brave people as Pathans, both internally and externally. I love Pathans. Physical beauty or at least perceived by others (excluding social preferences) depends the quality of Genes. Pathans/Kashmirs have been at the crossroads of invading armies all the way till Greece and Central Asia; this intermingling of genes over centuries times enhances feature profile. South of Indian subcontinent have seen less of human migration, hence lower perceived beauty as then genes gets repeated in the small population group.Recommend

It has a panel of consumers, which has a certain criteria that reflects the diversity of the people of Pakistan, It is based on the criteria of education, gender, age and cover all socio economic strata! I think there is beauty in all of Pakistan’s races because of the unique mixture of peoples who settled the land there. They evolved over thousands of years to become the races we now see in Pakistan. Certainly most South Asians agree that Pakistani races are the most beautiful but I am sure that you would equally find beautiful Baluchi, Sindi and Punjabi in addition to Pashtuns and Kashmiris.As for Gilgitis and Chitralis, they are also beautiful races who are fairer than Pashtun and Kashmiris so this isn’t about colour alone.Recommend

Im an Welsh & have lived in Pakistan for over 3yrs. I have seen most of Pakistan and my experience tells me that Pakistan is a mix of variety of ethnic groups, most of the ppl are of the native sub continent origin with similarities those of Indians & other south asian nations, sometimes back in the UK we can’t differentiate who is Pakistani and who is Indian. BUT BUT on the other hand I was very astonished & surprised to see that their are ppl in balochistan, peshawar, swat and northern areas who even have european, middleeastern & central asian looks and men and women there if living abroad in Americas or Europe could never be identified as pakistanis. the whole point is that beautiful ppl are found all over the country but NWFP provice/northern parts and some areas of balochistan, kashmir are drastically different from the rest of the Sub continental creed.Recommend

I am a British and have spent a long time in Paksitan during my service in the UNO(wfp). Pakistan is a mixture of different cultures and people from all ethnic groups lives here. I have visited almost all the Pakistan and has interacted with people from all parts and ethnic groups. They are all beautiful but Pathans are wonderful people with exceptional beauty, talent and bravery. They are very loyal to their country and the peace loving people far away from hatred. They can be your best friends or deadly enemies. They cannot be beaten or stopped by force rather they better understand the language of love. Even you can make them your slave by love and affection and i think thats the only reason the britishers succeed to rule them. Above all they are very innocent and are totally different from their picture potrayed by the media. The only problem of Pathans is the lack of education and opportunities. I have no experience about Kashmiris but i will try to know about them.Recommend

Well this debunks the myth that Pakistanis have in mind about their good looks compared to Indians from some regions, Sri Lanka & Bangladeshis. As it turns out you have inferiority complex inside your own country. And rightly so because most Pakistanis I have come across are equally brown skinned as most other South Asians. But yet in their mind they feel they are fair skinned. Pathan’s are not South Asians, so they don’t count & Kashmiri’s are an exception in an ocean of beautiful shades of brown.Recommend

is good behavior and attidue. Good faces are purchaseable at any rate but not good conduct

and behaviour.

We should demnostrate practically for being the follower of the Khatim-ul-Nabeen

(PBUH).

Of late, many Pakistanis are getting their surgery done in India at a cheaper price and better care, In Coimbatore , near my home town, recently one lady from Karachi underwent some surgery for which she was recommended to go to the hospital in Coimbatore by the Karachi docs. She is fine and has already returned to karachi. Pakistanis can avail such services in South India at a cheaper priceRecommend

Pakistani nation currently needs revolutionary changes in mind that can only be possible through revolution in education system of our country and there is no harm in emulating example of India, our most immediate neighbor in the region.

Remember, possesion of nuclear capability has proved yet another futile and useless weapon by any nation in the world that witnessed its failure in recent Tsunami in Japan.

@Tanzeel: I don’t think that people refer to the skin tone by many in Karachi as ” tanned”. They are simply shades of brown. Tanned is usually used to refer to fir skinned people who have become bronzed by sun exposure. For example the fairer skinned Pashtuns, Gilgitis or Kashmiris become tanned when they are exposed to excessive sun. Tanning refers actually to a mild form of solar injury to the skin. Generally the Pakistani ideal of beauty favours a more olive skin tone and the facial/ body features found in Northern Punjab, Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, Gilgit and Kashmir. Beauty is a subjective thing. I would say there is beauty al over Pakistan. As for whether you prefer brains to looks, that is your perogative in a free society.Recommend

I am studying in the university of oxfordshire in UK. Before I was thinking Pathans (Pushtuns) as people who only knows to fight and to kill but my personal interaction with my Pathan friends proved that how wrong i was. Its not only about their appearance, no doubt they are gorgeous and handsome but they are people of good character and behaviour as well. They are talented. brave, confident, respectful, helpful and friendly people. I can’t explain their qualities in words. They are the people with countless abilities. Simply i love them. Recommend

And, of course I know of some wonderful and good-looking (by all customary measures)couples whose chemistry never worked and they excelled in giving ‘hell’ to each other while bringing up their children as well as they could till they withered into old age!
