Targeted killings in Balochistan

Letter January 22, 2017
For the past several years, such killing patterns have been on the rise in Turbat

TURBAT: Targeted killing has been one of the biggest issues in Pakistan. No one in any of its major cities is safe. On January 17, a common citizen of Turbat, a shopkeeper, was shot dead by an unknown person. Similarly, many other innocent citizens in Turbat have been killed by militants, roughly two to three every month. For the past several years, such killing patterns have been on the rise in Turbat. I request the Government of Balochistan and the Turbat police to take strong steps against militants who are involved in targeted killing.
