Power shortage

Letter January 21, 2017
The authorities concerned should take immediate action to resolve the abovementioned issue

LARKANA: Electricity shortages are prevalent in most parts of Sindh. This shortcoming has always been shrouded in mere claims to the contrary by government representatives. Most new students of Sindh University (SU) live in private hostels in the vicinity of SU Jamshoro, where electricity breakdowns are untimely and frequent. The power shortages have impeded the students’ education. In addition, students are facing multidimensional problems including a water shortage, breakfast problems and inability to get to their transportation vans on time because they cannot get ready on time. The authorities concerned should take immediate action to resolve the abovementioned issue, which is crucial for students.
